Frederick H. Chicos is the Chairman of Christie & Associates, LLC. A 1976 graduate of Harvard University, Mr. Chicos is a nationally renowned business leader. Mr. Chicos is the former Founder, Chairman and CEO of The Chickering Group, the nation’s leading provider of student health insurance, which was acquired by Aetna Life Insurance Company in 2003. He is the Chairman of The Christie Foundation, a charitable corporation established by Mr. Chicos focusing on education. In addition, he is a Founding Director of The Gorbachev Foundation of North America, which was founded in 1997 by several Northeastern University Trustees and by Mikhail Gorbachev for promoting democracy and economic development around the world.
Mr. Chicos is also a Trustee of Boston University, Chairman of the Boston University Trustee Committee for Athletics and a member of the Executive Committee, a Trustee of Mount Auburn Hospital, and the Board of Visitors for Boston University School of Medicine. He is also a member of the External Executive Board of the Institute for Global Leadership at Tufts University. Mr. Chicos is a former limited partner and advisory board member of the Los Angeles Dodgers baseball team. Mr. Chicos has played an active role on other prominent boards over the last 25 years, including Syratech Corporation and Century Bank & Trust, Trustee of both Newbury College and the Arthritis Foundation Massachusetts Chapter. |
