Members
Full Members
Former heads of state and government who participated in the Conference on Democratic Transition and Consolidation, held in Madrid in October of 2001, are full members of the Club of Madrid if they so wish. Sitting heads of state and government who participated in the Conference may be invited to join the Club of Madrid as soon as they have completed their term of office. Other former heads of state and government of democratic countries may also be admitted as full members if proposed by the executive committee and approved by an absolute majority of the general assembly. Institutional Members
Private and public organizations and institutions that share the goals of the Club of Madrid may be invited to join the Club of Madrid as Institutional Members. Institutional Members will act through their representatives to express their views and may attend the General Assembly but without voting rights. More
Honorary Members
The General Assembly may designate as Honorary Members authorities or personalities that have distinguished themselves through their cooperation with the Club of Madrid. More
Fellows
The experts in democratic transitions who participated in the Conference on Democratic Transition and Consolidation (CDTC) held in Madrid in October 2001, as well as these or who subsequently have joined task forces or advisory groups of the Club of Madrid will be considered Fellows of the Club of Madrid. More
